Continium Kerkrade

At the end of 2015 tungsten finished a twofold project for science museum Continium in Kerkrade.

In ‘Zwart’ (Black), the history of the Limburg state mines is highlighted.
In Earth, we rise high above the surface of the earth to view our equally majestic and vulnerable home planet from the International Space Station (ISS).
Two themes that the visitor sees in three stages - and just as many spaces - passing by.

The two 360-degree films that Tungsten produced for the Columbus Theater are the undisputedly innovative masterpieces, with the visitor looking down from two rings on a round projection surface of twenty meters in diameter. For technical advice Tungsten consulted the American Douglas Trumbull, special effects wizard (2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, Close Encounters of the Third Child) and as a co-thinker of the IMAX the specialist in the field of deviant projection methods.
